Everywhere else on this site, Professor Swoopti Doo works from the words and the measurements. He is not allowed to claim he heard your mix, and he never does — because he cannot. That is the honest limit of the free thing.
This is the other thing. Adam hears the record. That is why the mix, the master and the dynamics can finally be judged here, and why he can tell you what happens at 2:41 instead of in general. He may read the Professor’s notes on his way in, the way you would glance at anyone else’s opinion. What you get back is his.

A person puts your record on and plays it through. That is the whole difference. The Professor on this site reads words — he is not allowed to claim he heard anything, and he does not. Adam hears it.

The sound, judged
The mix and the master, and the dynamic range: whether it breathes or whether it has been squashed flat. This is the only place on the site where the sound itself gets a real opinion, because a real pair of ears is on it.

Exact spots, by the time
Not general impressions. “At 2:41, here is what happens and here is what I would do about it.” Timestamps you can scrub to with the song open in another window.

The writing, read closely
The lyric line by line, the tone, the musicianship, what the song is reaching for and whether it gets there.

Not a paragraph and a score. A written document, three to five pages of it, about your song and no one else's. That is the promise and it is the floor, not the target.

He personally makes sure your song gets in front of other listeners and comes back with at least three solid critiques on top of his own. A paid song goes into the pool first, not last.

Whatever you specifically want to know, you write it down when you send the song, and he answers that. If you want to know whether the second verse is dead weight, he tells you.

Your song and the review presented on the site, front and center. Only if you say yes — you tick the box, and you can leave it unticked and lose nothing else. Nothing of yours goes public because you paid for something.

The write-up is guaranteed to be 3 to 5 pages. On top of it, Adam personally makes sure your song gets in front of other listeners and comes back with 3 to 5 solid critiques on top of his own. A paid song goes to the front of that queue, not the back of it.
When
He tells you when he starts
He emails you when he starts on it, and again when it is ready. If he cannot do your song justice, he refunds you and tells you why — you are never left paid up and waiting.
No invented turnaround, because he is one person and a made-up date helps nobody. What he will not do is take your money and go quiet.
Before you buy
Things worth knowing
- One song. One record, gone over properly. If you want two, that is two.
- He can say no. If he cannot do your song justice, or it is something he will not review, he refunds you and tells you why in his own words. There is no version of this where you are paid up and left waiting.
- It is his opinion, honestly given. Encouraging and honest at the same time. He does not ridicule anybody and he does not invent a problem to look tough.
- Nothing goes public unless you tick the box. Your upload stays private by default, the same as everywhere else here.
